I know a sidewalk isn't a nonsmoking area... I was saying it in reply to OJA who said I would be an ass to stand in a smoking area when most public places are smoking areas.

A pavement is a public way, and a person has a right to do whatever the fuck he wants when he's using it. If he wants to smoke, it's his business, and if you don't like it, you're either going to have to put up with it or move.
