I really thought Let Me In was awful compared to the original. I've been getting thoroughly reamed for thinking so though.

That's what's brilliant for me. I was able to watch the re-make not knowing what the original was that made me able to enjoy it so much. I may have a look into the original and hopefully enjoy it as much, if not more than the original.
I also watched Shame of the Jungle. As a animated film, I enjoyed it and it had the perfect amount of potty humor that made it likeable without being overly cringe-worthy.
