Our consumerism also exacerbates it, which is one of the themes of Oddworld. Do you know where the ores for our electronic appliances come from? All the same nations of Africa that are embedded in long-term conflict. All those troops sent into the Congo from neighbouring nations was not for peacekeeping, but to get a slice of the action.
