Intentional sarcasm. If we have rats, mice, rabbits, foxes, feral pigs, deer, camels, feral cats, feral dogs brought by the black men, feral dogs brought by the white men, cane toads and fire-ants (off the top off my head) running around our forests (except for camels they run around our deserts) I doubt allowing pet hamsters would be too problematic.
