Ditto for me. For the first few listens it was dull, monotonous and one of the songs 'Wide eyed walker/Do not wander/Through the dawn' sounds like a parody.

But once you stop expecting the same sort of music from the (brilliant) first album, which was basically just Robin Pecknold saying 'Haven't I got such a nice voice', it's pretty enjoyable. It's more laid back than the first album, and you need to be more laid back to enjoy it. I agree about standout tracks though. It's more of an aural mass.

Love Sim Sala Bim though. Might try and sing it to MAH GIRRL.

EDIT: Also, I don't see why The Shrine/An Argument had to be one song. I might split them apart in iTunes.

A classic.
