I used
these faces to make the icons. They probably look stretched because of the tiny size.

I think that maybe just taking the happy mud picture and changing the colour to green might be ideal, to get rid of the creepy blurriness.

1) I agree with the comment about using the post icon images. Even if you have to shrink them, they'll still be less blurry.
