I did fencing once and won one out of the two tourneys so I wasn't great but Kendo seems, in my humble opinion, more interesting, a fight can last seconds or ten minutes!
Did you not get the armour free with the club though? Or like a one of payment? Seems funny they'd make you cash out so much.
