Your "people with mental ticks need to adjust and learn to live with it" attitude is astounding. I'm sure your parents had to adjust and learn to live with you once this delightful personality of yours came into bloom, but for fucks sake, have a little compassion.
On a side note, I've been diagnosed with 'severe' depression and social anxiety. Medicated for both.
