Btw, I've been considering about getting Pokémon Black later when it's a bit cheaper, but is it anything like Emerald or Leaf Green/Fire Red? I really liked those, but not so much Diamond/Pearl.

Black and White are basically the best Pokemon games. They changed most of the annoying crap about the previous games, streamlined the hell out of it, and added a ton of cool new pokemons.
And the game actually has a decent plot of sorts!

useless outside battle and sports anime.
