I played Blue Dragon at a mate's house a while back, I thought I wouldn't like it but even only playing for a few hours, I thought it was pretty nice.

They made Lost Odyssey, too. I was shocked at how under-rated it was.
I'd take both of those games over any new-gen Final Fantasy any day. The series is going down the shit hole. 12 & 13 sucked everything that was good from the series.
