Those signs such as "Gas escape route" Are they actually part of the .CAM or are they just annotations on the screenshots?

Everything in the picture is in the .CAM/level.
In my variation (as you'll notice when you play it), I've put lots of signs in there and changed the directory messages, to make it more interesting. On top of editing the level itself thoroughly.
Also, I've just played on you variations and they are good indeed.
I like it how you added mines and bombs and continue points. Haven't completed it yet though.
