Oh yeah, I'm totally aware of how these sorts of illusions normally work. The thing that throws me is how he manages to make the water part of the illusion as well - not only did he figure out how to use camera angles on the structure, he also got the water to look like it was flowing uphill and pouring back to the start.

Could be an inclined floor. Also, look at the shadows as he moves across. The section at the top right is further forwards than the rest of it, which means that the front may well be higher than the back. Also, whilke trying to look at it frame-by-frame I found
