But I think you're only looking at a particular demographic. I think you might be surprised at how many people are not interested in sport and how many people are not vain. Stereotypes are created through the portrayal of people in the media, which in most cases is on the Government's side, and they are interested in keeping the general population dumb because it makes things easier (especially in marketing)
Before anyone else does, I'll make reference to the tin-foil hat. What I'm saying is that there are probably just as many people who dislike sport (or vanity) who do like that stuff.
