So why can't "them" refer to "other species"?
Why do we all have to hate some other group of people, or treat them as different?
Why is where you were born so goddamn important to some people?

I'm not big on nationalism either. I don't really care until someone starts judging me simply on the basis of where I was born. Keep in mind he wasn't overtly in favor of nationalism either. A big part of the class was how nationalism led to most of the world conflicts within the past 400 years or so.
