What am I proud of? To be a mongrel of mixed European decent with ancestors who were either prisoners or British soldiers who stole the land of the native population to build prisons. There is nothing special about my country; my birth is a lotto, it was only pure luck I was born on this chunk of fucking rock when it could have been any other.
Patriotism leads to ignorance. Ignorance leads to bigotry. Bigotry leads to hatred. Hatred leads to violence. Violence leads to war.
