Alcar, the microphone is made almost entirely out of metal. The old microphone head is cast iron, the top of the handle is cast aluminum, and the bottom of the handle is galvanized steel. Look at the gallery for more information.
     Wolfpac, although this microphone can be used as an effective backscratcher, I fear that using it as a golf club would damage the original antique satin-black wrinkle finish on the head.
