We are fans, and we are allowed to use converted content from any game regardless if it comes from microsoft or nintendo. As long as we release it as freeware.

You can use it.. by you I mean really just "you" if you own the game (unless the EULA says otherwise). As soon as you share it with someone else you break copyright laws..
