Yeah, when I said I have that same style, i actually meant how I get the detail but don't take too much care on the shape.. I get carried away on the small parts and totally disregard the overall shape. But it's down to laziness really
I know I could get it right if I used a grid, but I really just can't be assed hehe
I love how you've just gone for it with the pencil and made those really deep strong black tones. It makes so much difference.. it's something I'm still wary about, but when I do try it myself, it pays off more often than not
