Usually, about half of the protagonist cast in a Gundam show die. It depends of the show, of course. Concerning main characters, one has died outright, one was level brain-damaged, one maimed, and one was absorbed by an alien ai thingy.
Actually, most of them have smaller eyes then you're thinking. the majority colour is brown. Also they come in several age groups, not ten year olds.
Even at it's worst, it's still much better than "An alien robot crab ate an ancient civilization and here shoot at this hopper palette swap while we kill it out the window".

God, shut up. Mass Effect is a critically and commercially successful franchise that 99% of people agree is pretty okay. Just because you have some stupid liberal hard-on for disliking it based on some minor qualms you pulled out of your ass "Waaah! The opening went too fast!" "Boo-save the trees-hoo, the ending wasn't to my satisfaction!" does not mean that you are right. I don't even like Mass Effect that much and can see how little water your arguments hold.
