See, that's what a lot of people say whenever I voice my opinion about it. What they never seem to grasp is, in New Vegas, it physically takes fucking ages to walk around these large vast empty landscapes, and there isn't enough interesting content to justify this immense amount of time spent. In Fallout 3, however, I would gladly walk from one end of the map to the other, because there was so many things, everywhere. I really don't think saying "THE PLACE IS DESOLATE, AND ITS MORE SUBURBAN AND SHIT" justifies diddleysquat, because Fallout 3 was equally as desolate, but actually filled with content.

and about the cocktail lounge, that definitely illustrates my point. There are so many cells in the game that are exactly like it: Just space with no point whatsoever. Space with no air of an atmosphere to it at that. When I first went in the cocktail lounge, and all the casinos for that matter, I felt like I was playing a third-party mod of the game, not an actual commercial product. No character, just stuff.
