I have met musical elitists who aren't shallow pretentious douches (Example: you), I have never met a satanist who isn't a shallow pretentious douche.
Like Ziggy said, being a musical elitist just seems to be some sort of stupid trend for most people. They'll grow out of it after college when obligations tie them down and they can't smoke pot regularly.
