I could go into a long and boring post about how some people think that these broad stroke generalizations are actually apt portrayals of the human condition, but I know better.

I think some form of generalisation is unavoidable when you're trying to cover
the entire human race. I think Games Workshop did a mighty fine job at picking the most consistent; The fear of death (Nurgle), the fear of other people (Khorne), the fear of change (Tzeentch) and the fear of oneself (Slaanesh).
