It's stuck in a floating stable time loop. Updating the website inadvertently causes it to be stuck like this in the first place. Since the time loop is floating, the loop inevitably reaches infinity in duration while infinitely reinforcing the original problem.

Thus we can conclude one of two possibilities:

1: Upon the heat death of the universe, the one constant that shall remain in the featureless void is Oddworld's "coming soon" website.

2: As the servers and website approach infinity in age in the modern day, the servers involved will inevitably decay. Indeed, the half-life of the proton will be reached again and again, as every particle they are composed of decays into the fundamental entropy. The effects of the severs existing in every stage of existance including final entropy at the same time are very interesting. And by interesting I mean somehow producing the effects we are experiencing for longer than time itself.

Come to think of it, given that both of these outcomes, and indeed the intuitive deduction of the initial premise alone all mean we never see an update ever, in its most absolute sense, my "floating stable time loop" hypothesis seems doomed to terminal unpopularity given the very specific demographic of this forum.

I'll just go.
