Sligit and Keris enter the ARAT.

Sligit; i need to ask a favor of you, Keris.

Keris; what is that?

Sligit; well, i'm gonna be going somewhere for a few weeks, and i need you to take my money.

Keris; where are you going?

Sligit; i can't tell you that.

Keris; then find someone else to hold that cash for you.

Sligit; wait! ill tell you. I am going to leave. I don't know if ill ever get back.

Keris; why me, Sligit, why me?

Sligit; i trust ya'. I need someome who isn't gonna just buy as much brew as they can hold with that cash.

Keris; at least tell me where you are going.

Sligit; i dont know. hell, all my friends were taken, you are the only one left. Now take my 10k and make a life for yourself here.

Keris; I will wait here for your return, then.

Sligit; between you, me and the wall, i ain't gonna come back. I plan to die out there.

Keris; then i will find your dead body and repay you for your kindness.

Sligit; kid, i need to live the life i allus lived. I never had parents, never had money. The vykkers fed me through an IV, i never tasted food before Arim's Resteraunt, i just ate capsules on the trip here. I wanna see Blackness, Jal, all my other dead buddies. I cant do that here.

Keris; i will bury you, then, with all the friends you have lost.

Sligit; kid, i like you, but i need you to understand. I don't wanna keep on living. I only did it for so long. I am leaving the town of Pyke for good. Maybe ill live in another town for a week or two, but i am never gonna be back here. Tell Rettick i owe him huge amounts for all he did for me. Tell Tunk that he's cool. Tell DH that if he needs help you have all of my confidence. And, if you see him, tell Priboi, my first friend in this little town, that he will see me again, on the other side of death.

Keris; do not die, sligit.

Sligit; i won't, kid, not yet. But i will, eventually. Time is not on my side.

Keris; someday, you will come back. Please, Sligit, come back someday.

Sligit; someday, then, ill come back. Yes, someday ill come home and find you as the best citizen in Pyke. Goodbye, Keristillax, last of the Darksiders.
