Why does everything have to involve downloads these days? I just want normal, boxed games that I can physically order from Amazon or Play.com or buy from my local games store. No restrictions then...

Maybe because Oddmob/JAW don't want the publisher and retailers have the lionshare of earnings taken away from them.
