some time ago I read a teaser I think by Lorne; it was very cryptic, but suggested to me that a new story may involve insanity as a plot direction.

I suspect that was a reference to The Brutal Ballad of Fangus Klot. THe main character, Fangus, was going to have rabies that got steadily worse as the game progressed, or something along those lines. Doesn't matter, it never happened anyway.
