i'm hoping that the resolution will be improved a bit in the Oddbox so it won't look blury.
but for me resolution isn't a problem. Its the AE sound effects on the Playstation. there at a higher pitch then the PC version for some odd reson.
Abe sound likes he is on helium.

I also hope that the resolution is improved but they haven't mentioned anything about reporting AO and AE, only MO and SW. About the second problem, I have never noticed that [just checked, nope, no problem]. Also, in response to PuddiinLOL :], both ports are exactly the same, the engine was never modified, they are both Native 640x480 resolution, which is actually a terrible resolution but back in the day that was quite a high resolution anyway, most monitors from 2003 and onwards support 720p and above.
When AO and AE were released only standard definition was around, with a resolution of 480i, because the quality was so poor it would be hard to notice the "blurriness" on Abe. Depending on what monitor and/or size it is could also depend on the quality of the game. I have a 19" monitor, my resolution is 1440x900 and when I play AO and AE the game screen is stretched, it doesn't happen on all machines, it might depend on your graphics card, some cards will maximize the game [this cannot be changed anyway, no matter what machine you're running on] but only use up a certain proportion of your monitor and the game will not be stretched.
The problem is like playing a games console through a RGB component cable instead of a HDMI or YPbPr component cable on a HD screen, if you do then your screen will look very blurry, this is the same problem you're experiencing when playing Oddworld on the PC. Basically, Standard definition things should be played/watched on standard definition screens, playing/watching them on a HD screen could effect the quality because it is being up-scaled.
If you want the same experience like you did on the Playstation, then the best thing to do is buy a 4:3 CRT monitor, you can get them for like £10.
I hope this helped, Matty.
