Willful stupidity in any narrative is one of my biggest peeves. It's especially bad in horror movies.
One of my favorite examples to cite is when the protagonist is being accosted by some demonic or supernatural entity and calls the police. He/she then proceeds to tell the dispatcher exactly what's happening, expecting them to believe the story and send help right away. It never occurs to them to... I dunno... concoct a more believable testimony to ensure that the police do arrive?
Also, the iconic scene in Pan's Labyrinth in which Ofelia eats one of the Pale Man's grapes after being explicitly told not to. Argh!
