THE PROPHECY
Yeah, there’s a prophecy. No good story doesn’t have one. That means this is a good story. Or something like that. I don’t want to brag. So just shut up and listen to the prophecy, already!
Out of the cold Dark, a hero shall rise.
A hero with Oddworld marked in his eyes.
A being of power, untried but true,
His destiny’s path I’ll reveal to you.
The darkness shall fall, trampled underpaw,
But only if the hero keeps the law.
The law of Oddworld, old Abe knows it best,
Its marking has long been burned on his chest.
Instruct this new hero, make straight his way,
And he shall free us from the Dark some day…
Yeah, that’s the prophecy. Preeeetty sappy one, if you ask me…but who am I to be asked? I’m not a critic. I’m just an old Mudokon shaman, name of Jake, who’s been cranky long enough to be happy all the time.
