I keep reading all over the forums that people think Squeek will be an evolved slurg, a slig or a khanzumerz or something. Well, I think you're all wrong.
I remember reading in Alf's rehab and tea just before the Xbox launch a quote from a Lorne Lanning interview that OWI had just created a new central character. So squeek is going to be something completely new. A specie we haven't seen. Just like Munch was for his Oddysee.
Munch looked the way he did because OWI said the name "Munch" implied a big mouth full of teeth. Well, the name "Squeek" implies something small, so Squeek will probably be a small creature. I lean towards something with four legs and maybe no actual arms, since we haven't seen a species like that before. But I'm probably wrong and just speculating.
I don't think he'll be a Khanzumerz. They are the most valuable creatures on Oddworld (as it says in the MO preview in the AE manual), which is why products are tested on fuzzles in Vykkers Labs, so they're safe for th khanzumerz to use. Obviously they'd be some kind of aristocratic industrialist species maybe Squeek will have to fight against. But I doubt we'll see them until later in the Quintology.
In short, Squeek will be a completely new specie. So speculate all you want, but we'll just have to wait and see.
