I feel must explain that Universe B is the SatAM series and I used it as a seperate universe because the characters' backstories don't match up with the canonical and non-canonical universes of Sonic.

I disagree, Sonic 1-4 + Knuckles, spinball ect are still counted by Sonic Team as the main series. The newer games are linked and are continued by the comics (which were originally created as advertisements for the megadrive games) as well as the series Sonic X. My guess is the comics made more money then the megadrive games... But I really do wish that Sonic Adventure ect were part of the main series. In an ideal world Sonic Team will come up with a way to link them all together, but I think the Sonic timeline has been screwed beyond repair.

Robotnik is called Eggman because sonic made fun of his portly size. Eggman since adopted this name.

Truthfully though the Sonic universe is messed up, stuff that shouldn't have happened happened *Cough* Shadow after SA2 *Cough* and things that should have happened didn't like...maybe...good games after the Sonic Adventure series?
