i'm pretty sure it was a .22 hunting rifle, and a 12 bore shotgun. due to its size i'd bet the rifle was a rimfire type, and not a centrefire.
i'm simply amazed he was allowed to own a .22 rifle, to be honest. those things are for hunting, not lazy shoots on a Sunday afternoon, lamping and whatever. he would have had to own a firearms license, not just a shotgun license. a taxi driver with a firearms license? i would have thought that would raise suspicion within the local police department.
