#7 Slig didn't respond to this - arguing with a child was prehaps not the best thing to start in a situation like this. He just could not risk his job on the matter. Of course, he had no idea what Emlech's plans with Anni would be - judging from the average Vykker image, nothing good - but he just couldn't bother with anything done outside of Rupture Farms.
"Look, the business between you two is not my concern, Anni. Just try to..." At this moment, Jim lunged at #7 Slig, which made him fall on his back, banging his head into the floor, with Jim landing on him and telling Anni to run. His gun slid sideways, out of his reach.
#7 Slig didn't even have time to react when he saw Emlech retrieving a Snuzi from his bag and pointing it at the back of Jim. Before he could show any signs of objection, the Vykker shot at Jim, rendering the Mudokon motionless. #7 Slig could not see Jim's face, so it was hard to determine whether he was unconscious or... Nonetheless, #7 Slig had to get back on his feet quick, so he tried to roll Jim sideways.
But in the meantime, a quick succession of events happened, which #7 Slig could not see much, but when he finally managed to roll Jim off, he saw Anni's back, surrounded by some mysterious aura, with an arm at Emlech's chest. He scrambled to his feet quickly, but the presence rendered him unable to act.
