Ralph smirked as Emlech tried to scare him off with the snuzi.

"I'm not moving anywh..." his voice drifted off as he suddenly had a very bad feeling about his current situation. He slowly started to turn to the mudokon standing behind him, but before he could react to anything a huge force lifted him in the air and sent him crashing sideways into the wall with a loud clang.

Landing face down on the ground, he tried to push himself up, catching a glimpse of of the frightening scene unfolding in front of him. But then he shuddered, as flashes of light flickered throughout his skin, and fell back down on his face, lying still.

"Thank you," Hembar smiled at the dark mudokon, "Good luck!" She relaxed slightly, she just hoped that they could reach Anni before it was too late.

She suddenly felt cold - it was like the whole atmosphere in the building had changed. Then she saw why - she saw a shadowy form, similar to a mudokon but with huge claws, standing in front of her threateningly. Screaming in unison with the young mudokon down below, she covered her face as the shadow leapt towards her.

After a few seconds of nothing happening, she dared to look again, but saw nothing - a hallucination? No, it was far too real, unlike the face she had seen earlier when the poison had first started affecting her. Corporeal? No, but real? Definitely.

But whatever it was, it wasn't really there in front of her. Which must mean that it was... down below where the others were heading!
