Afterall they are working on Portal 2, Episode 3, TF2 content, new L4D maps, a new L4D2 map was just released and more than likely they have a (small) team already working on the next Source engine for Half-Life 3.

You don't really think that they are going to abandon Half-Life after the third episode, or that they will be using the same Source engine until the end of time?
