There was in the past more then one Mudukon queen. This is because each of the Mudukon tribes/countrys had a queen... But Im not sure if the old trible devisions still exist other then in the relics of their temples.
Im also sure I read that the Slig queen (I can't remember her name) once had sisters, but had them killed so that she wouldn't have any competition with selling her childen to the Glukons.
This means that there can be more then one queen for each speacies. It also means that a queen must be able to give birth to more then just one more queen unless all creatures on Oddworld are incredably parilly evolved. This is backed up by the fact that how else could queens be sisters?
