I don't know, I think it depends on how you define 'scary' and toward what age group. Do 'Disturbing' and 'Dark' also apply?

Definitely agree here. The movie was so weird and confusing that it made me feel sick when I watched for the first time..
Now I can watch it without any problems. Just makes me feel weird 'bout the film. That's all..
