Those are two interestingly similar designs. According to one unsourced point made by the Ratchet and Clank Wiki, Terachnoids are stereotypes of the High School Nerd. Not sure how mauve skin and insectoid limbs figures into that. |
lol, well their personalities are very nerdy...
One could say that the Vykkers are 'nerds' as well, since they're seen as scientists and doctors... further showing some similarity.
I wouldn't put it past Insomniac to be making a nod to OW, or at least some sort of homage/inspiration... as they tend to throw a lot of video games and pop-culture references into their properties; especially apparent in the Ratchet and Clank series.
