Jim: "It looks real"
"Yeah,"
Ralph replied to the cowering mudokon, then quietly muttered, "so do I."
He looked surprised as the holographic slig fired fake shots - there was definately something odd about this machine. But then the hologram disappeared and the robot (
SU-01) hovered it's way out of there.
He listened to the exchange between
Jim and
Anni, and agreed, "Yeah, we better get back to our posts."

Meanwhile everyone's favourite female native mudokon (or the
only female native mudokon in the factory

) was passed out on the floor in the basement of the factory, chasing stars in her head.
Everything had gone black for a while, but then she started seeing flashes of, well, she wasn't quite sure, they were all too fast. She could make out various familiar faces amongst it all, but none of it seemed to make any sense. Then her mind made her travel back through her memory...
The group of mudokons were returning from an unsuccessful expedition. Probably weren't paying attention as much as they should have, so they were taken by surprise when a fully armoured big bro slig stepped out from behind a bush aiming a strange looking weapon at them. But then again, his armour seemed to have an unusual blue shine to it - perhaps it was shielded from their powers so they couldn't have detected it anyway.
Nonetheless, the five mudokons reacted quickly, leaping out of the way of a barrage of needle-like projectiles unleashed by the slig. Taking cover behind a tree along with one of the others, Hembar waited for the slig to stop firing. Luckily he had the typical big bro intelligence and didn't think to actually come at them, instead just holding the trigger down until he'd used up the ammunition. Taking the opportunity, she yelled out "Get him!" and ran out, brandishing a vicious looking blade.
Charging towards the slig and flanked by her companions, she hesitated as the slig aimed the barrel of his weapon directly at her chest. He pulled the trigger, and a needle shot out, scoring a direct hit. She staggered slightly, but for some reason it didn't seem to hurt much. Continuing the charge, they stopped that slig from firing another shot.
An unfamiliar shriek brought the mudokon back to her senses. Lifting herself up groggily, she made out the shape of the meech nearby. She leaned against the wall for a few moments until her head stopped spinning, but she noticed that her vision had returned to normal - for now at least. And she thought she knew what was causing her problems now.
For now, though, she had to get to somewhere safer. It was lucky that meech had woken her, the paramites probably wouldn't have wasted any time getting some easy food!
"Come on little buddy," she said to the creature, "looks like you saved my life, but we better get out of here."
She started heading up towards the safer part of the factory, although whether it was safer for the unlikely due was debatable.
