The next day, Spider was out hunting. The death of the kid yesterday still hurt him. He hadn't felt so helpless since the time when Cyrus murdered that family right in front of him. He hated that feeling. He pushed the memory out of his mind and continued searching for prey.
A bit later he was in a clearing, stalking a wild elum. He was just about to pounce when something spooked the elum and it bolted.
"Frag..." Spider grumbled. He was just about to go look for something else when something hit him. It smacked him right upside the head, sending him tumbling (he wasn't wearing his pants). Spider stood up, stunned only to be knocked down again, this time blood was drawn as something sharp cut into his neck. It wasn't a deep wound fortunatly, something he would recover from provided he could get whatever it was that was attacking him off of him.
Spider stayed low this time, looking around trying to see his attacker. He could smell it...but not see it. But he could hear the sounds of a wing flap occusionally; what ever it was it could fly.
Got ter get ter the trees... Spider thought as he made a break for it.
He had almost made it when his attacker rammed into him again, this time pinning him to the ground. Spider struggled and howled, trying to break free. He felt powerful jaws close around his neck, the attackers sharp teeth penitrating into his flesh. Spider knew that if he didnt do something this thing will kill him. He reverted to his dragon side and managed to grab a part of his unseen assailent and gave it a nasty shock.
There was a shriek of surprise and he felt his attacker fly off him. Spider didnt wait he got up and ran as fast as he could back to the village.
By the time he got there he was weak from blood loss. He saw some the villagers approach him.
"Help..." was all he managed before losing consciousness....
