Thats some very good info.
But, people have their own reasons for buying the hardware of there choice, both PC and MAC are very capable machines. Please leave the "money" or "why would you game on a mac" questions out of it  .
As an answer to Nate's when:
I think when depends on how successful valves move to include mac will be + how successful the oddbox would sell on the pc part.
Lets first hope that it gets released on the pc part, shall we
