Name: Dorrel.

Species: mudokon.

Gender: male.

Age: 23 (average 40 years).

Position: local cheap merchant, petty thief, person with many (illegal) contacts.

Personality: he comes across in his mannerisms and appearance as being two-faced, and a bit of a liar, and yet when it comes down to business he is very competent. he views everyone he meets as a potential customer, so he is rarely nasty to anyone and will often try to admire/flatter them for the sake of gaining money, enhancing his sly nature. due to this, he attracts the more timid of types to his dodgy business as well as the brutes.

Appearance: sly, shady, generally distrustful. wears tatty brown trousers, an unbuttoned white shirt, and has a scruffy top hat (similar to Doc's one in SW) perched on his head.

Equipment(Optional): carries a very small blade tucked inside his left sleeve, and a larger flick knife in his trouser pocket. also has a small screwdriver hidden inside his top hat via a makeshift, badly sewn pocket.

History: after working at a small motor parts company for the first 11 years of his life, he had gathered a vast knowledge of machinery, mechanics and some electronics, too. adding this knowledge to his sly thinking resulted in his escape, and he wandered through towns connected by dirt tracks, gathering information about nearby industrial facilities only to sneak in at night and steal valuable possessions. he'd sell them to the next town he visited, and then did exactly the same again. it wasn't long before he started to do paid jobs involving breaking and entering, robbery, and in one instance, kidnapping, for certain 'clients'.

by the time he reached 20 years of age, he had found the caverns referred to as the Outlaws fortress, and begun his business there, too. he had the advantage of not being tied down to a certain group of clientèle; it worked on a first come, first serve basis. but this time it wasn't breaking into nearby factories, it consisted more of finding the Outlaws certain equipment, weaponry, and the occasional house break-in. he has remained here ever since, happy enough to live off the moolah he is paid for the jobs he does, and has a certain amount of protection due to his valuable services and his accumulated set of contacts throughout the years. but since Boss Hoss moved into town, Dorrel thinks he's struck gold.

i'll probably make a mining character too, but i need SLEEP at the moment.

EDIT:

Name: Barry.

Species: wolvark.

Gender: male.

Age: 24

Position: working class wolvark, works as a miner for Boss Hoss.

Personality: Barry is simple-minded, and is content to work his life away while spending what little moolah he has at the town saloon. he doesn't get on with law-breakers, seeing them as bad for the town's 'atmosphere'. he puts up with them, though.

Appearance: typical wolvark, with a worn blue jacket, black dusty trousers and heavy, steel toe capped boots. he also wears heavy-duty leather gloves (elum skin), which he only ever takes off once he's finished work. of course, all of this clothing is just for his mining job.

Equipment(Optional): carries a hammer tucked into his belt for work. especially useful if a machine motor gives up: a few thumps and its usually running smoothly again.

History: Barry has lived in this area all his life, its all he's ever known, therefore it can be fairly easy to amaze him with some new technology that isn't to do with mining or fishing. before he got a job as a miner, he used to fish for a living. it was simple: he'd fish a nearby lake from a secluded area where the fish liked to gather, catch a good load, and take them back to town to sell on the day. as long as his fishing skills didn't fail him back then, he wouldn't go hungry (or thirsty). since then, he's moved on to a more reliable method of paid work in mining. all in all, Barry lives to work. and he enjoys it.

EDIT 2:

Name: Weer.

Species: slig.

Gender: male.

Age: 10 (average 20 years).

Position: Regional Industry Inspector.

Personality: very annoying. he tries to hide his unimportance and low rank with an irritating tone and miles of paperwork. always looking for a way to sue the next company/industry for breaking some ridiculous regulation and is always pestering the local workforce in an attempt to coax out a complaint or bad safety measure. at times he can even be seen running around after working employees bugging them into asking questions, not caring how silly he looks. he is only interested in finding some 'dirt' so he can either report it back to his headquarters or receive a bribe to keep his mouth shut.

Appearance: wears a fluorescent jacket for on-site use, and a hard-hat. always carries a clipboard and pencil wherever he goes.

Equipment(Optional): other than his hard-hat, clipboard and pencil, he has no other equipment.

History: no one knows much about him, apart from he is a small part of an even smaller branch related to the Magog Cartel. so in other words, his job is to visit new businesses to ensure they follow the codes and regulations that his headquarters set, and to report any abuse of the rules. he must also visit older businesses to ensure they're still following the guidelines set in the last visit. he hasn't actually arrived in the mining town yet, but it won't be long. he isn't meant to stay in one place for too long, either, so its likely he'll only be there for a few weeks.

its part of his job to ensure no one finds these headquarters he receives his orders and information from, so they can avoid any angry business owners/partners/associates from visiting these headquarters and burning them down to the ground. all in all, his job isn't very important or significant, its just another method for the Cartel to line their pockets. BUT, all this in mind, he still has a (low) position in an official organisation, therefore if he spots any serious law-breaking like robbery or violence, then he will be bound by law to report back to his HQ immediately. he is ignorant to the area though, and doesn't even know it harbours outlaws.
