Another St. Patrick's Day anecdote; I spent that day in 2008 in Austin, Texas. It's actually a really awesome city and I really liked the place during the day. In the evening half the city was blocked off and massive beer gardens were set up in the middle of the streets. Which was also fairly awesome. My main issue was with the guys wearing green kilts and playing bagpipes. Somehow, the Americans just don't get it.
