Chapter 2: Escape
Redge came back, several minutes later carrying what looks like his whole dormitory.
“Redge, didn’t you say valuables?” Slusk said with his mouth agape.
“Umm, ya… but this stuff is absolutely necessary.” Redge replied.
“Like what?” Slusk said placing his arms over each other in impatient posture.
“Sleeping bags, flashlights, a box of tinder, and-“ Redge said taking out each item as he said it.
“Ok! I get it, but how in the name of all that is Odd are we gonna get outta here!?” Slusk said throwing his arms into the air.
“Ok, we can bypass the security by getting to the Main Gate Control room and knocking out the guard so I can punch in the code and get us outta here.” Redge explained.
After Redge distributed the supplies to Slusk the team ran towards the north part of the sloghut, trying to avoid all security. When they reached the gate, Redge headed for a door labeled SECURITY ONLY. Redge arrived to see the slig guard on duty was tweaking with the radio chatter settings. Redge lifted his shotgun and hit the slig guard squarely in the back of the head rendering him unconscious. Redge shoved the guard over and punched the authorization code and bolted out the door to meet up with Slusk. Mochy yelped as Slusk and Redge ran out the gate.

Meanwhile, a slig guard was checking the Slog Kennels and discovered the mangled corpse of Victor the Slig. He dropped his Blitz Packerz Carbine in horror and ran for the manger’s office.
“Boss! Boss!” Jasper the Slig shouted as he barged into Burgon the Glukkon’s office.
“Whaddya want?” Burgon replied.
“I found Victor! DEAD!” Jasper said with a sob in his voice.
Jasper and Victor were really close brothers, and finding him dead shaken him badly.
“Commander is dead? Wasn’t he supervising Worker 491? Slusk?”
“Y-yes sir he told me before he went on his shift.” Jasper stammered.
“Call the investigators, tell em we got a murder on our hands.” Burgon ordered Jasper.
