This problem seems similar to a glitch that can occur in RuptureFarms II, where the pull rings in Zulag 1 and the Board Room disappear. My advice is to save, turn the console off and then reload. That should fix it, but since it's the PC version I don't know if it will still work (it works fine with the PSone version). Sometimes killing Abe can actually fix glitches too, so try that as well.
