The WipEout series doesn't actually have any playable characters in it. The first WipEout did have a selection of pilots to choose from, but they made no difference to gameplay. I normally choose Sophia De La Rente, the French Feisar pilot, though.
Other than that, Spyro the Dragon, Sgt. Byrd and Sheila the Kangaroo, all from Spyro: Year Of The Dragon.
I would include Abe, but I don't think he's as good a character as Elum or the Glukkons.
