I don't know what you're on about, but placebo has nothing to do with addiction.

You're predisposed to the idea that this music is meant to relax you, so when you listen to it you feel calm, even if it's not actually relaxing. If everyone told you heavy metal was supposed to relax you, you'd eventually believe it, and would lull yourself into a relaxed state when you heard it. It's entirely your own will, not the music's supernatural control over your being.

Music that relaxes you because it's so damned good is a different matter entirely. If that's your case, then ignore the previous statement.
binaural beats aren't focused on the music , it's the frequencies that do all the effect , and even some just sound like complete noise and still relax me.
and if it was my will , how come that when i meditate doesn't feel the same?
and no i would never believe metal is relaxing , infact it's my favorite type of music cause it's kinda fires u up.
