basically if you don't have the ear for it, it doesn't matter at all. the only thing i wont stand for is the use of earphones.
not only are they actually hazardous to your hearing by injecting high powered short wavelengths directly into your eardrums, they have shocking low and mid tone clarity. i emplor you: if you use earbuds, just stop, even cheap headphones will do better. they are the most common headphone on the market, and are the absolute lowest of low quality. personally, they are really uncomfortable for me (i don't have the right ear shape for them).
makes me facepalm for the world. especially at the volumes people listen to music with them. whole generation is gonna have hearing issues.

I already have hearing problems, but I haven't used Earbuds in about two years. Instead I use bigass headphones desperately trying to look like Skullcandy.
I used to have a set of Bose headphones, I think. They were awesome
and I got them for free.
My problem is that because my hearing is slightly deficient, things are less loud (a durr) so I need loud music=hearing affected more=need louder music
I also have really bad luck with headphones/earbuds. Usually I listen to music with my MP3 player in my shirt pocket or coat pocket, but I guess this strains the wire because the speakers have a stupid habit of cutting out on one side. This has happened innumerable times.
