Super Sentai, as Power Rangers is called in Japan, began broadcast in 1975.
Voltron is the thrown-together adaptations of Beast King Go-Lion and Armored Fleet Dairugger XV. it was aired in 1981.
So no, not really. Also, Voltron was nowhere near as popular in Japan, it is one of the lesser-liked super robot shows.
