Microsoft has announced that they have secured their Xbox Distribution network in Europe to ensure a successful launch in early 2002. Together with these distributors and retailers they've managed to create a succesful strategy for the European Xbox launch. As important as it is for Microsoft to have enough units to meet the demand, it's also vital for them to be able to get the units to the proper retail channels.

Microsoft will also benefit from their own production facility in Hungary which will give them a weekly, steady supply of Xbox units in Europe. Here's a list of the distributors and their respective territories:
UK - Gem
France - Big Ben, Innelec
Germany - NBG EDV Handels & Verlags GMBH & Co KG, Hoffman Interaktiv, Elstal
Italy - Medusa Home Entertainment, Leader Distribuzione
Spain - Ingram, Tech Data

Holland - Pirox International BV, Micromedia
Sweden - Toptronics
Denmark - Boston
Norway - Tech Data
